Development Update 11/11/2025


The last week since the EA release has been quite productive and I've pretty much done all the under the hood tinkering I needed to do with the game UI and some of the variable management stuff. All the character sheets are now migrated to the new format and the character bio's rewritten (not substantially but they have been changed to try to make them read like someone else's report or description of the character). The new format allows me to do some dynamic stuff with these character screens and update them as you reach various milestones and uncover more information and experiences. So you won't now know all the details about everyone, that will be revealed as the MC - or the information he has access to via the government, is updated. I have also redesigned some of the features of characters, so some of the old bios are out of date in terms of affinities. The displayed image will also change as you progress.

I've added in stat tracking to the MC's screen, which you can see in the screenshot. I'm going to do some more updates to this in the future so that there are images that display depending on the stat. So if Chaos is highest, the symbol that appears on the chaos notification will appear behind the text here. I will also do something similar with characters as their score progresses.

I've added in video galleries. These will unlock as you reach certain milestones. Right now, only the MC, Alice and Emelia have video galleries. The MC & Alice have their galleries unlock at the end of Alice's event and Emelia's unlocks at the end of her event. These will dynamically update as you encounter new content for the character in the same way that the image galleries do. In the future I want to add a personal journal screen for each character, where the MC has recorded short diary entries of his experiences with each character, but that will be a down the line thing.

I have converted every image asset in the game to lossless webp format, which has knocked about 2gb off the filesize, so it now sits at around 2-2.5gb. Which also means I will be able to publish an android version.

So you can see this stuff in the free 0.36 update that will go live tomorrow, along with the main story update from 0.35. Shortly after 0.36 goes out, I'll release the original formatted assets and best unused asset packs here. There will be stuff for all tiers including free.

I have been busy working on building assets for 0.40, so I have a lot of them prepared for Alice & Lyra, a couple of which you can see in the attached screens in their unedited raw format. Their hands might be a mess, there may be seams and other glitches. They are as produced, not in any way fixed or improved from how they came off the assembly line. I've also been writing story for the next update, I'm about 40% through I think, so it will probably sit at the fairly typical 12000 word mark when it is done.
